For 1998 it was awarded a total of ten recognitions. The Municipal Chief Fuad Šišić awarded the municipal recognition the Keys of the Town, with the consent of the Chairman of the Council for 1998 awarded to: 1. Alija Izetbegović, the first President of the Presidency.
2. Director Kreig Back - USAID, for outstanding contribution to the rehabilitation of local infrastructure and support for the economic recovery.
3. The humanitarian organization ADRA from the Czech Republic for its outstanding contribution to the financing of most of the surgical block, in the equipment of the operational rooms at the General Hospital Tešanj, and in providing remedies, sanitary and other things for the Hospital. At its 11th session held on 5 December 1998 the Municipal Council Tešanj adopted the Decision on awarding the municipal recognition a Plaquette for 1998, and on the occasion of 10 December – the Day of the Town Tešanj for outstanding work and achieved results of particular importance for the municipality Tešanj, and that to: 1. The Military Hospital Tešanj for outstanding contribution since 1992 in providing services to a large number of the wounded, both conscripts and civilian war victims, and during the entire period providing a complete medical service to policlinic and stationary for the whole population of this area. 2. The enterprise Pobjeda Tešanj for exceptional contrribution in the timely placement of the available resources into the function of the defense in early 1992 with the significant results and thus directly affected at the successes of the Army of the Republic of B&H, primarily in the defense of the municipality Tešanj and the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina. 3. The humanitarian organization Malteser Germany for outstanding contribution to the renewal of the General Hospital Tešanj, in modernizing the Fire brigade Tešanj, in raising funds for socially vulnerable children at the Center for Social Work and the other aspects of the assistance to the local and refugee population in the territory of the unicipality Tešanj. 4. The Municipality of Santa Perpetua De Mogoda from Catalonia for outstanding contribution in rehabilitation, reconstruction and extension of the General Hospital Tešanj and the reconstruction of space for urgent hospital block and internal parts, and in providing a substantial amount of material to build a surgical block of the General Hospital Tešanj. 5. The bibliographer Mustafa Ćeman for 30 years of work on research and development of numerous bibliographies, Bosniak writers, cultural and public workers, Bosniaks, and that: The Bibliography of the poet Muse Ćazima Čatić, Hamid Dizdar, Edhem Mulabdić, Ahmed Muradbegović, and the bibliographies on Hasanaginica, Nasrudin Hodža , Hussein Bey Gradaščević, and the bibliography in the edition of the Muslim Literature of the XX century, and many others. 6. The Center Security Services Doboj, for outstanding contribution in the preparation and organization of the police units in the defense from the aggression against the Republic of B&H. Herzegovina. 7. The enterprise Doboj-putevi Doboj for outstanding contribution to the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the road network in the municipality Tešanj.
